What is home (domiciliary) care?
Is when a care worker visits a service users home at a agreed time to provide care and/or support to enable you to live as independently as possible. The carer can provide a range of care and support depending on the level and needs of each individual agreed in the care package.

How long can I have care from you?
Butterflies offers care packages for as long as you require assistance, and varies from a weekly companionship visit to serveral daily visits of personal care and well being.

Is Butterflies insured?
Butterflies holds a substantial Employers and Public Liability Insurance

Is Butterflies registered with CQC (Care Quality Commission)?
Yes Butterflies Home Care Ltd is registered with CQC as a domiciliary care agency and will be inspected regularly

How are Carer workers recruited?
Butterflies interviews all care workers in person not by telephone or post. We take up original references not photocopies. Every care worker has a Criminal Records Bureau check which includes checks against the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) register

How are your Care Workers trained?
All Butterflies care workers attend an inhouse training programme in accordance with current Skills for Care Common Induction Standards. The subjects include, Moving and Handling; Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Safe Handling of Medication, Emergency First Aid, Principles of Care, Role of Care Worker, Needs of Service User, Continence Care, Basic Infection Control and Adult Protection training. Butterflies offers furthur course to develop care workers skills in specific areas ie dementia.
